If Ronn Politiek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 10 played minutes Leconfield got a freekick which was hit by Shafiq Rajah. Shahiran Lee made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Hafriz Soon sent off a good shot on target. Shahiran Lee made an important save on a dangerous shot by Shafiq Rajah in the 17th minute. If Ronn Politiek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Alan Hoe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 26 minutes into the game, Ang Kool was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lion's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leconfield the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dale Mathews in the 29th minute of play forced Lion's goalkeeper Shahiran Lee to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shahiran Lee made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Hafriz Soon sent off a good shot on target. Shahiran Lee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dale Mathews, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Jonathan Ching hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Shahron Lim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronn Politiek in the 42nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Lion's Amir Hong got a free kick in the 46th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 51st minute, Alan Hoe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Hafriz Soon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wei Xuan Yeo kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 62ndth minute of the game Dale Mathews who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lion's Shahiran Lee was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hafriz Soon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Leconfield's goalkeeper Shahron Lim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alan Hoe. Dale Mathews sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 75 minutes, Wei Xuan Yeo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lion and the Leconfield players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Lion getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Wei Xuan Yeo hit a great ball. In the 76th minute, Zack Chai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Shahiran Lee came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Leconfield's Hafriz Soon. But to his dismay, Hafriz Soon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 83rd match minute, Leconfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shafiq Rajah to maneuver through the defense. Zack Chai charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zack Chai the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 87 played minutes Leconfield got a freekick which was hit by Zack Chai. In the 94th minute Shafiq Rajah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Shahiran Lee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95thth minute of the game Dale Mathews who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lion's Shahiran Lee was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Despite being the better team, Leconfield failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
