Spectators: 6838 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1838, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Anil Ching started the match with the kick off. Afiz Leng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Gara Lee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gara Lee showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ali Ning, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute Ali Ning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gara Lee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 24th minute Rudy Shiong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryan Chew saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ali Ning received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Gara Lee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute Ali Ning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gara Lee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 37th minute, Jonathan Hock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anil Ching in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bryan Chew saved Newton Heath FC from getting behind. Bryan Chew stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anil Ching's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ali Ning made a kick off. When Anil Ching came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the İnter fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anil Ching couldn't finish the play. Newton Heath FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 60th minute, when Anil Ching scored to the left of an out of position Bryan Chew, making the score, 2-1. Jonathan Hock struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Gara Lee didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newton Heath FC. Afiz Leng might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gara Lee. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Afiz Leng ran back to his position shaking his head. Rudy Shiong hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Farhan Hui took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 73rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gara Lee. İnter's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Shukrie Politiek hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Newton Heath FC's Afiz Leng got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bryan Chew took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anil Ching, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sajeev Lee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bryan Chew was a little too slow when Anil Ching got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 2-2. Gara Lee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ali Ning in the 92nd minute of play. Anil Ching struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Bryan Chew didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for İnter. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
