Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rudy Teo started the match with the kick off. Bryan Au received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Asiz Chandran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Shrewsbury's Bryan Au got a free kick in the 5th minute. Shrewsbury's Danish Lee got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 9th minute, Felix Koh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Shrewsbury's Wong Chian got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hidayat Tian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asiz Chandran having to interfere. Hidayat Tian struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Asiz Chandran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shrewsbury. Jonathan Low fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asiz Chandran having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alif Nair during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Paloma's Alif Nair got a free kick in the 19th minute. Paloma's Asiz Chandran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Low in the 20th minute of play. Asiz Chandran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bryan Au in the 22nd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Asiz Chandran successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jonathan Low sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hidayat Tian's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Asiz Chandran skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Alif Nair hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Paloma's Asiz Chandran got control of the ball when Hidayat Tian tried to sneak it across the goal line. Asiz Chandran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Low, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shrewsbury's Bryan Au got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jonathan Low was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Danish Lee managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shrewsbury's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danish Lee was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 57 played minutes Paloma got a freekick which was hit by Noh Phua. If Wong Wenyong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jonathan Low came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Shrewsbury fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Low couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Wong Wenyong managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shrewsbury's supporters rose to their feet, but Wong Wenyong was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Asiz Chandran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Asiz Chandran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonathan Low's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute Danish Lee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Asiz Chandran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Low received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Asiz Chandran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Khairul Pieng hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the match, Paloma's Alif Gopala Pillai sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jithu Boon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudy Teo in the 72nd minute of play forced Shrewsbury's goalkeeper Jithu Boon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd match minute, Shrewsbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wong Wenyong to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th match minute, Paloma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudy Teo to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Hidayat Tian managed to get in a good position for a shot. Shrewsbury's supporters rose to their feet, but Hidayat Tian was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. If Bryan Au had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hidayat Tian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Asiz Chandran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Low, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Paloma's goalkeeper Asiz Chandran, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Danish Lee blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Asiz Chandran having to make a save. Asiz Chandran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hidayat Tian in the 93rd minute of the match. Bryan Au recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 96 played minutes Paloma got a freekick which was hit by Noh Phua. When the referee ended the match the Shrewsbury players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
