Midsomer Norton City's Haziq Liang got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Khai Gopala Pillai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Teo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Midsomer Norton City's Afiq Hsin got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute, Haziq Yip hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Khai Gopala Pillai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Darren Ning in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Haziq Liang left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Midsomer Norton City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Ali Keng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hafriz Yang in the 39th minute of the match. After 43 played minutes Halstead got a freekick which was hit by Hidayat Seng. In the 46th minute, Haziq Yip ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ali Keng was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Hafriz Yang's late challenge caught a Midsomer Norton City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hafriz Yang helped the player get up and apologised. Hafriz Yang hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After having played for 59 minutes, Haziq Liang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Midsomer Norton City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haziq Liang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Haziq Yip managed to get in a good position for a shot. Halstead's supporters rose to their feet, but Haziq Yip was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ali Keng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 71st minute, Haziq Liang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 74 minutes, Haziq Yip managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Halstead's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haziq Yip was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Haziq Yip had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Midsomer Norton City's Ali Keng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sharizan Cho in the 87th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Haziq Liang got free with Khai Gopala Pillai in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Khai Gopala Pillai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Teo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Halstead players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
