Spectators: 8040 (Terracing: 6031, Seating: 1849, VIP seats: 160) Alam Boon made the kick off and thus started the match. Gerard Swee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerard Swee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Danial Cheng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Doe Bamar getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Gerard Swee hit a great ball. When Standish AFC's Alam Boon in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Doe Bamar's goalie prevented a goal. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Standish AFC's Alam Boon in the 15th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Bineesh Leng was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Doe Bamar through an amazing save. After a rather tough play, Doe Bamar's Amirul Cho got a free kick in the 17th minute. Bineesh Leng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alam Boon in the 21st minute of the match. Daniel Kang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Danial Cheng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Alam Boon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Danial Cheng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerard Swee in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Doe Bamar's Gerard Swee sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Danial Cheng narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 36 minutes, Muhammad Hoe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Standish AFC and the Doe Bamar players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 37 played minutes, Doe Bamar's Bryan Koh shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Danial Cheng came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Doe Bamar reached it. Danial Cheng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Kang, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Alam Boon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alam Boon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Bineesh Leng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Standish AFC's Asiz Ning ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bineesh Leng. Bineesh Leng yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daniel Kang made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Standish AFC's Alam Boon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bineesh Leng narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Kang in the 61st minute of play forced Standish AFC's goalkeeper Danial Cheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Standish AFC's Danial Cheng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Kang in the 66th minute of play. When Ron Soon fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Doe Bamar's protests and gave Ron Soon a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Standish AFC booed when Doe Bamar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rudy Henderson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 73rd minute Alam Boon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bineesh Leng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Standish AFC's goalkeeper Danial Cheng had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerard Swee. Alam Boon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bineesh Leng read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Doe Bamar defense, Alam Boon kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bineesh Leng. The Doe Bamar fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bineesh Leng should have stopped the shot. When Mohammad Butcher came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Standish AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mohammad Butcher couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Standish AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Doe Bamar had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
