Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Khairil Seng got the match started through his kick off. In the 2nd minute, Wong Abdul got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wong Abdul recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ashburton AFC's Mohammad Laycock managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Prime Devan in the 13 minute of the game. If Mohammad Laycock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wong Abdul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haziq Boon having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Mighty Wolves United FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wong Abdul came free, but Haziq Boon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sajeev Chai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Soon in the 22nd minute of play. Haziq Boon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bakar Phua, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Wong Abdul struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Haziq Boon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ashburton AFC. Sean Chan hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute of the match Gabriel Hoe sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sajeev Chai skillfully saved the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Ashburton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Soon came free, but Sajeev Chai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wong Abdul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Haziq Boon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Wong Abdul managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ashburton AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wong Abdul was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Haziq Boon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute Sean Chan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haziq Boon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Sean Chan came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Ashburton AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sean Chan couldn't finish the play. Wong Abdul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haziq Boon having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Fariz Hongyi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ashburton AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fariz Hongyi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Haziq Boon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 45 minutes, Bakar Phua managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ashburton AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bakar Phua was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wong Abdul to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Samuel Shyan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ashburton AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Samuel Shyan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Haziq Boon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Samuel Shyan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Haziq Boon having to make a save. 56 minutes into the match, Ashburton AFC's Wong Abdul sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Haziq Boon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wong Abdul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Haziq Boon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 61 minutes, Wong Abdul managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ashburton AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wong Abdul was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jithu Seng kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the match, Ashburton AFC's Bakar Phua broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Wong Abdul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Haziq Boon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sean Chan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Fariz Hongyi fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ashburton AFC's protests and gave Fariz Hongyi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th match minute, Ashburton AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fariz Hongyi to maneuver through the defense. If Wong Abdul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bakar Phua came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Ashburton AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bakar Phua couldn't finish the play. Faris Hoe kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Haziq Boon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wong Abdul in the 87th minute of the match. Mohammad Laycock's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Haziq Boon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Wong Abdul fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haziq Boon having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Mighty Wolves United FC's zone, Bakar Phua stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haziq Boon came out of the goal and Bakar Phua tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bakar Phua sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Despite being the better team, Ashburton AFC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
