Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mujahid Choy in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Winner11 United's Azly Kool played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alam Boon in the 14th minute of play. Winner11 United's Sarb Henderson got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Standish AFC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Muhammad Hoe hit a great ball. Mujahid Choy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Danial Cheng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sarb Henderson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Danial Cheng made a huge save. The supporters of Winner11 United booed when Standish AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniz Sum didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Mohammad Butcher managed to get in a good position for a shot. Standish AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mohammad Butcher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Azly Kool breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Winner11 United's zone, Mohammad Butcher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Azly Kool came out of the goal and Mohammad Butcher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 48th minute of the match Zak Hock sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Azly Kool skillfully saved the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Noh Soon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Danial Cheng was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 59th minute, Sarb Henderson made a precise shot to the right of Danial Cheng. Standish AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Mujahid Choy got in the 65th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Danial Cheng handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. The supporters of Winner11 United booed when Standish AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Muhammad Hoe didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 70 minutes, Mujahid Choy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Winner11 United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mujahid Choy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
