After 3 played minutes Wimbledon FC got a freekick which was hit by Steven Rajah. The long shot by Prime Paine in the 4th minute really tested Jonathan Amin's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. A collision led to Toa Payoh Town getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Afiz Siang hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronn Abisheganaden during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Wimbledon FC's Ronn Abisheganaden got a free kick in the 10th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Steven Rajah had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rifki Lim. Toa Payoh Town's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Steven Rajah was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Afiz Siang kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Sim in the 18th minute of play forced Toa Payoh Town's goalkeeper Rifki Lim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ronn Abisheganaden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Didi Hoe kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Steven Rajah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rifki Lim having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Toa Payoh Town's goal looked a bit too open when Shah Keng came free, but Rifki Lim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Steven Rajah ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rifki Lim was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Ronn Abisheganaden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Rifki Lim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rifki Lim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steven Rajah in the 35th minute of the match. Rifki Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shah Keng in the 37th minute of play. Rifki Lim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Wimbledon FC were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Prime Paine to make the kick off. Steven Rajah recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Azli Butcher kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Jonathan Amin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Chandran, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute, Jonathan Chandran made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Amin. Wimbledon FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steven Rajah in the 59th minute of play forced Toa Payoh Town's goalkeeper Rifki Lim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rifki Lim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronn Abisheganaden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toa Payoh Town's Rifki Lim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Steven Rajah in the 67th minute of play. Rifki Lim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steven Rajah, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Jonathan Amin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prime Paine in the 70th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, Toa Payoh Town's goal looked a bit too open when Ronn Abisheganaden came free, but Rifki Lim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 73 minutes, Bryan Seah mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Toa Payoh Town and the Wimbledon FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 73rd minute, Bryan Seah hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rifki Lim made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Shah Keng sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Wimbledon FC's Rifki Lim threw himself towards the right post 82 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ronn Abisheganaden, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 83rd minute of the match, Jonathan Sim got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rifki Lim was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Shah Keng received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rifki Lim came out and tried to block the shot, but Shah Keng slotted it home off the left post making it 1-7 in the 86th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Toa Payoh Town's goalkeeper Rifki Lim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonathan Sim.
