After some careless play in the Brey Lake defense, Alif Hock kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexander Chong. The Brey Lake fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexander Chong should have stopped the shot. 12 minutes into the match, Bovingdon's goal looked a bit too open when Wong Siong came free, but Darren Seng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adam Lee could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Darren Seng made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albert Choo during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Bovingdon getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Albert Choo hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Shahron Gopala Pillai fired a really elegant long shot, but Darren Seng threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. In the 16th match minute, Bovingdon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ali Nagasaki to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute Wong Siong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darren Seng saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brey Lake were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Bovingdon's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Shahron Gopala Pillai took the corner. Brey Lake's Shahron Gopala Pillai was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Darren Seng in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Mark Seng struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Alexander Chong didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bovingdon. Bovingdon's Mark Seng got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 27 minutes, Alif Hock managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bovingdon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alif Hock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Bovingdon booed when Brey Lake was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Khairul Ching didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th match minute, Brey Lake was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wong Siong to maneuver through the defense. Jerry Laycock could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Darren Seng made a huge save. Brey Lake's Jerry Laycock got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Bovingdon getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Tan Tian hit a great ball. Mark Seng might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexander Chong. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mark Seng ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 38th minute Mark Seng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Chong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mark Seng to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Alif Hock recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alexander Chong. Alif Hock showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. In the 58th match minute, Bovingdon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mark Seng to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Brey Lake's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mark Seng fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bovingdon fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Alif Hock managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bovingdon's supporters rose to their feet, but Alif Hock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexander Chong breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 78 minutes, Mark Seng managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bovingdon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mark Seng was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alexander Chong was a little too slow when Mark Seng got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 1-4. Mark Seng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexander Chong having to interfere. Darren Seng showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wong Siong in the 86th minute of the match. If Mark Seng had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute Alif Hock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Chong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexander Chong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mark Seng in the 92nd minute of the match. After 95 played minutes Brey Lake got a freekick which was hit by Mohammad Seng. Brey Lake's Alexander Chong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Seng in the 96th minute of play. Bovingdon's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
