Muhammad Soon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Azam Tan in the 4th minute of the match. Muhammad Soon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Lum, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Alex Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zack Abdul in the 7th minute of play. Shahiran Hsin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alex Lim came out and tried to block the shot, but Shahiran Hsin slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. Danish Tian could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Alex Lim made a huge save. In the 16th minute, Ang Lum sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Wallsend 777's Muhammad Soon didn't even have to move. Alex Lim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zack Abdul, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute of the match, Danish Tian got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alex Lim was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Haziq Chuan hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Danish Tian came free with the goalkeeper in the 20th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Alex Lim could save by the left post. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mangotsfield! Alex Lim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Danish Tian in the 32nd minute. In the 39th minute Azam Tan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Muhammad Soon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 43 minutes of play, Mangotsfield's Haziq Chuan made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Muhammad Soon was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Wallsend 777 booed when Mangotsfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Azam Tan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alex Lim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danish Tian, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Adam Lum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Muhammad Soon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Muhammad Soon made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Haziq Chuan sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gage Teo during the 67th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shahiran Hsin in the 70th minute of play forced Mangotsfield's goalkeeper Alex Lim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Steven Shyan fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wallsend 777's protests and gave Steven Shyan a yellow card for diving instead. After 77 played minutes Wallsend 777 got a freekick which was hit by Steven Shyan. 80 minutes into the game, Mangotsfield's Azam Tan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Muhammad Soon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Dale Siang kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Azam Tan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 86 played minutes Wallsend 777 got a freekick which was hit by Merlin Gopala Pillai. The crowd rose to their feet as Adam Lum kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Muhammad Soon. That made the score 1-3 in the 87 minute of play. Muhammad Soon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Lum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute there was a penalty for Mangotsfield. Ang Lum stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Muhammad Soon. 1-4. Wallsend 777's Muhammad Soon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Lum in the 98th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mangotsfield walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
