Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 6 minutes into the game, Mark Seng cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Amir Dyce was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Danial Shiong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alif Hock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Amir Dyce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Danial Shiong ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Darren Seng was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 31st minute, Hexham United's Ronn Siang ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Darren Seng. Darren Seng yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. The supporters of Bovingdon booed when Hexham United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Abdul didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amir Dyce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alif Hock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mark Seng was the one to do the kick off. Ronn Siang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darren Seng having to interfere. Amir Dyce stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mark Seng's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. A collision led to Bovingdon getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Tan Tian hit a great ball. Darren Seng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Danial Shiong in the 64th minute of play. Bovingdon's Darren Seng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danial Shiong in the 67th minute of play. Darren Seng showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danial Shiong, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Danial Shiong blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Darren Seng having to make a save. Sean Namasivayam hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Danial Shiong managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hexham United's supporters rose to their feet, but Danial Shiong was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darren Seng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ronn Siang's late challenge caught a Bovingdon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronn Siang helped the player get up and apologised. If Danial Shiong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Danial Shiong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
