The attack was good, but when Prime Ning in the 14th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Spitalfields and Shoreditch's Bineesh Hui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Khairul Ching in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to Spitalfields and Shoreditch getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Hafriz Kang hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wong Chee in the 28th minute of play forced Brey Lake's goalkeeper Ang Abisheganaden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sajeev Dyce could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Bineesh Hui made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Brey Lake's zone, Sajeev Braddell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ang Abisheganaden came out of the goal and Sajeev Braddell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ang Abisheganaden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sajeev Braddell in the 32nd minute of play. After 33 minutes, Prime Ning made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Brey Lake's Ang Abisheganaden tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ang Abisheganaden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prime Ning, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Ang Abisheganaden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prime Ning in the 41st minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Prime Ning stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Amirul Au shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bineesh Hui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Spitalfields and Shoreditch getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Hafriz Kang hit a great ball. Bineesh Hui didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Khairul Ching went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The supporters of Spitalfields and Shoreditch booed when Brey Lake was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amirul Au didn't get a good kick on the ball. Spitalfields and Shoreditch's Bineesh Hui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rifki Seng in the 67th minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Brey Lake's goal looked a bit too open when Prime Ning came free, but Ang Abisheganaden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute Khairul Ching shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bineesh Hui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bineesh Hui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sajeev Dyce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Prime Ning received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ang Abisheganaden came out and tried to block the shot, but Prime Ning slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 84th minute. If Sajeev Braddell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 93rd minute, one of Spitalfields and Shoreditch:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Spitalfields and Shoreditch. When the match was over Spitalfields and Shoreditch could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Brey Lake throughout the match.
