The supporters of Mangotsfield booed when Brey Lake was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Azly Chuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ang Abisheganaden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Mangotsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Khairul Ching came free, but Alex Lim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Azam Tan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the match, Mangotsfield's Ang Lum sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ang Abisheganaden narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alex Lim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Khairul Ching went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Azam Tan in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ang Abisheganaden prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alex Lim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Khairul Ching in the 21st minute of the match. With his leg Alex Lim managed to avoid a goal in the 22ndth minute, when Brey Lake's Sajeev Dyce fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Mangotsfield's Shahron Dhanabalan got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 27th minute, Brey Lake's Sajeev Dyce dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Adam Lum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Azam Tan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Ang Abisheganaden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A very good chance. Ang Abisheganaden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Lum in the 40th minute of the match. Ang Abisheganaden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Lum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Brey Lake's Rifki Seng got a free kick in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute Adam Lum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ang Abisheganaden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Khairul Ching took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Alex Lim to make any attempt to save it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
Ang Abisheganaden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Azam Tan in the 51st minute of play. When Haziq Chuan fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mangotsfield's protests and gave Haziq Chuan a yellow card for diving instead. Haziq Chuan hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. The supporters of Mangotsfield booed when Brey Lake was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sajeev Dyce didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Brey Lake's Ang Abisheganaden got control of the ball when Azam Tan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 68th minute, Adam Lum fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Ang Abisheganaden, passed just outside the right post. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Mangotsfield's Adam Lum in the 70th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Ang Abisheganaden was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Brey Lake through an amazing save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adam Lum in the 72nd minute of play forced Brey Lake's goalkeeper Ang Abisheganaden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adam Lum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ang Abisheganaden having to interfere. Brey Lake's Ang Abisheganaden proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Brey Lake from getting a goal against them. 79 minutes into the game, Mangotsfield's Azam Tan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ang Abisheganaden made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Adam Lum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Brey Lake's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mangotsfield the free kick. Many of Mangotsfield's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Mangotsfield may have spent more time on the ball, but Brey Lake were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
