An unexpectedly hard shot by Rifki Kang in the 3rd minute of play forced Mangotsfield's goalkeeper Alex Lim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bryan Lim hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Alex Lim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Hian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the match, Mangotsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Gage Nair came free, but Alex Lim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gage Nair in the 12th minute of play forced Mangotsfield's goalkeeper Alex Lim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rifki Kang in the 18th minute of play forced Mangotsfield's goalkeeper Alex Lim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Mangotsfield's goal looked a bit too open when Rifki Kang came free, but Alex Lim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Hian in the 22nd minute of play. After 26 played minutes Plumpton Green United got a freekick which was hit by Victor Hian. Alex Lim came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Plumpton Green United's Bryan Siang. But to his dismay, Bryan Siang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Adam Lum kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd minute Rifki Kang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Lim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Shahron Dhanabalan hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Plumpton Green United's Gage Nair suffered a concussion after 35 minutes and had to leave the field. After 35 minutes, Shahron Dhanabalan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mangotsfield and the Plumpton Green United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 36th match minute, Mangotsfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Shahron Dhanabalan to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Mangotsfield's Felix Soon got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute of the match Bryan Lim shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alex Lim showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alam Teo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victor Hian was the one to do the kick off. If Adam Lum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute Bryan Siang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Lim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Plumpton Green United's Bryan Lim seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bryan Lim the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Plumpton Green United protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bryan Lim had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Plumpton Green United! Ang Lum shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Adam Lum blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexander Lee having to make a save. In the 71stth minute of the game Adam Lum who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Plumpton Green United's Alexander Lee was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rifki Kang in the 74th minute of play forced Mangotsfield's goalkeeper Alex Lim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adam Lum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Azam Tan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexander Lee having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Plumpton Green United's Alam Teo got a free kick in the 78th minute. Alexander Lee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ang Lum in the 84th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Firdauz Yip got free with Alex Lim in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th minute, Adam Lum ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexander Lee was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After a defensive mix-up in Plumpton Green United's zone, Adam Lum stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexander Lee came out of the goal and Adam Lum tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alexander Lee made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Lum in the 96th minute of play. The supporters of Mangotsfield booed when Plumpton Green United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bryan Siang didn't get a good kick on the ball.
