An unexpectedly hard shot by Darren Lum in the 8th minute of play forced Saltaire's goalkeeper Karim Ghazi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Rudy Hui fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saltaire's protests and gave Rudy Hui a yellow card for diving instead. Rudy Hui kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Saltaire's goal looked a bit too open when Tan Shiong came free, but Karim Ghazi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anil Tee hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Saltaire's zone, Tan Shiong stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karim Ghazi came out of the goal and Tan Shiong tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karim Ghazi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darren Lum, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18thth minute of the game Aziz Rajah who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lewes's Prime Namasivayam was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 30th match minute, Lewes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wei Xuan Chew to maneuver through the defense. Lewes's Prime Namasivayam played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aziz Rajah in the 31st minute of play. The supporters of Saltaire booed when Lewes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tan Shiong didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 46 in the game by 龚明宁 from a close distance when the talented Prime Namasivayam managed to make a qualified save. Lewes's players were relieved. In the 47th minute, 龚明宁 made a precise shot to the right of Prime Namasivayam. Lewes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Darren Lum stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55thth minute of the game 龚明宁 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lewes's Prime Namasivayam was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 59th minute 龚明宁 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prime Namasivayam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th minute, Aziz Rajah ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Prime Namasivayam was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 78th minute, Lewes's Clive Ramachandran seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Clive Ramachandran the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Lewes protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Clive Ramachandran had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 80th minute there was a penalty for Saltaire. Bartosz Karanowski stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Prime Namasivayam. 3-0. In the 84th match minute, Saltaire was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wu Ao Liang to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute 龚明宁 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Prime Namasivayam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tan Shiong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prime Namasivayam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 龚明宁 in the 97th minute of play. Prime Namasivayam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aziz Rajah, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute. Saltaire's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
