Albert Braddell's late challenge caught a Winchester's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 13th minute of the match Nicholas Stockley sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dale Lee skillfully saved the ball. Charlie Styles's late challenge caught a Williton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Charlie Styles helped the player get up and apologised. After 16 played minutes Winchester got a freekick which was hit by Charlie Styles. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rudy Chew in the 18th minute of play forced Winchester's goalkeeper Ralf Rothwell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 19 played minutes Winchester got a freekick which was hit by Bruce Keyworth. When Ben Willoughby came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Winchester fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ben Willoughby couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Albert Lum during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Williton! A collision led to Winchester getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Bruce Keyworth hit a great ball. Ralf Rothwell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudy Chew in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st match minute, Winchester was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruce Keyworth to maneuver through the defense. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rudy Chew was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Winchester's Ben Willoughby sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dale Lee narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Rudy Chew had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Theo Findley managed to get in a good position for a shot. Winchester's supporters rose to their feet, but Theo Findley was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dale Lee breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 60 minutes into the match, Winchester's goal looked a bit too open when Rudy Chew came free, but Ralf Rothwell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Todd Mills hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Theo Findley charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Theo Findley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Williton booed when Winchester was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Theo Findley didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 76th match minute, Winchester was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theo Findley to maneuver through the defense. Ralf Rothwell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudy Chew in the 78th minute of play. Theo Findley got his second yellow card in the match during the 79th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Winchester's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
