Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ron Abdul made the kick off which started today's match. Lamar Sim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prime Namasivayam having to interfere. In the 11th minute of the match Faiz Ning shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Prime Namasivayam showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tan Shiong was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 15th minute. Lewes's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Prime Namasivayam stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lamar Sim's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Darren Lum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Samuel Chan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Kentish Town's Samuel Chan got control of the ball when Tan Shiong tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 37th minute, Ron Abdul got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Lewes defense, Ron Abdul kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Prime Namasivayam. The Lewes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Prime Namasivayam should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Darren Lum was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darren Lum in the 55th minute of play forced Kentish Town's goalkeeper Samuel Chan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bineesh Hong kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Prime Namasivayam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ron Abdul, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Samuel Chan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tan Shiong, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Samuel Chan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Kentish Town's zone, Darren Lum stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Chan came out of the goal and Darren Lum tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tan Shiong scored 2-3 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Samuel Chan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
