Winchester's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dover United the free kick. Marty Knightley kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Dover United's Merlin Hsi suffered a concussion in the 4th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Alex Colbert charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Ali Teo put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ralf Rothwell. The audience thought a goal was coming when Theo Findley got free with Afriz Chuan in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ben Willoughby in the 30th minute of play forced Dover United's goalkeeper Afriz Chuan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ryan Butcher charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ben Willoughby to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Winchester's Theo Findley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Afriz Chuan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Dover United booed when Winchester was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruce Keyworth didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ralf Rothwell was a little too slow when Ali Teo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 0-2. Ralf Rothwell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ali Teo in the 64th minute. Brett Fletcher kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Ali Teo might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ralf Rothwell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ali Teo ran back to his position shaking his head. If Ali Teo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
