Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Paraná Clube's Shah Tan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mujahid Singh in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Samuel Chan saved Kentish Town from getting behind. The supporters of Paraná Clube booed when Kentish Town was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prime Gopala Pillai didn't get a good kick on the ball. Shah Tan struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Samuel Chan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paraná Clube. 11 minutes into the match, Paraná Clube's Mujahid Singh sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Samuel Chan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 20 minutes into the game, Shahiran Hian cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Samuel Chan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kentish Town's Samuel Chan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shahiran Hian in the 24th minute of play. Samuel Chan was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Ron Abdul fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kentish Town's protests and gave Ron Abdul a yellow card for diving instead. Ron Abdul hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Shah Tan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samuel Chan was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Mujahid Singh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraná Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Mujahid Singh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuel Chan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Shah Tan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samuel Chan was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lamar Sim was the one to do the kick off. Samuel Chan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Shahiran Hian's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. If Shah Tan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shah Tan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Samuel Chan managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Paraná Clube's Shah Tan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A well placed Shah Tan short distance shot in the 70th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. Darren Laycock hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Samuel Chan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Shah Tan's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. 76 minutes into the match, Kentish Town's goal looked a bit too open when Shah Tan came free, but Samuel Chan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Azly Chee came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Paraná Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Azly Chee couldn't finish the play. Paraná Clube's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
