Faiz Shiong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Faizal Soon in the 16th minute of the match. Amirul Teo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Aziz Singh got free with Amirul Teo in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Merlin Lim's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Amirul Teo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal.

Faiz Shiong made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faizal Soon in the 52nd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Faiz Shiong successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Faizal Soon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 70th minute, Aziz Singh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 74 played minutes Ashington got a freekick which was hit by Darren Sim. After 75 played minutes Ashington got a freekick which was hit by Afiq Ning. When Aziz Singh came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Runcorn AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aziz Singh couldn't finish the play.
