Fariz Wenyong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Azam Au having to interfere. Sheerness United's SK Yeo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Sheerness United from getting a goal against them. Azam Au stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fariz Wenyong's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fariz Wenyong in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Azam Au prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Prime Lim's late challenge caught a Sheerness United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Prime Lim helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Botley City's Prime Lim got a free kick in the 16th minute. SK Yeo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amirul Seah in the 19th minute of play. Azam Au stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alif Tuan's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. After some careless play in the Sheerness United defense, Farhan Choo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of SK Yeo. The Sheerness United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that SK Yeo should have stopped the shot. In the 26th minute Amirul Seah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but SK Yeo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amirul Seah in the 29th minute of play forced Sheerness United's goalkeeper SK Yeo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sheerness United's SK Yeo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Sheerness United from getting a goal against them. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Faris Sum sped through Botley City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Azam Au. If Farhan Choo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 39 minutes, Amirul Seah took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for SK Yeo to make any attempt to save it. Amirul Seah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Azam Au made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fariz Wenyong in the 52nd minute. Azam Au took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alif Tuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the game, Alif Tuan lined in a short shot 2-2 behind a frustrated Azam Au. The referee felt a red card was in order, 62 minutes into the game, when Farhan Paine put in a rough tackle. The referee gave Sheerness United a penalty, 64 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Amirul Swee, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Botley City's Azam Au. 2-3. Amirul Swees short, quick shot in the 72ndth minute got Azam Au to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Botley City's Prime Lim got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Fariz Wenyong managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sheerness United's supporters rose to their feet, but Fariz Wenyong was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Azam Au breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Sheerness United booed when Botley City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amirul Seah didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bineesh Chong's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Azam Au read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. In the 85th match minute, Sheerness United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fariz Wenyong to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 89 minutes, Farhan Choo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botley City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Farhan Choo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sheerness United's SK Yeo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Farhan Choo in the 91st minute of play. When Bineesh Chong fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sheerness United's protests and gave Bineesh Chong a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sheerness United's Bineesh Chong got a free kick in the 98th minute. The Sheerness United players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
