Samuel Seng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryan Siang in the 9th minute of play. After 10 minutes of play, Stevenage United's Ryan Siang made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Samuel Seng was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Ryan Siang's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samuel Seng was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Ipplepens's zone, Sarb Lim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Seng came out of the goal and Sarb Lim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ryan Namasivayam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 25 minutes into the match, Ipplepens's goal looked a bit too open when Ryan Siang came free, but Samuel Seng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zafran Politiek recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Ryan Siang's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Samuel Seng was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. The supporters of Stevenage United booed when Ipplepens was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tan Vijiaratnam didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Ryan Siang fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stevenage United's protests and gave Ryan Siang a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ipplepens booed when Stevenage United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryan Siang didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Azly Yang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Firdauz Nagasaki got free with Jithu Lim in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Ipplepens's zone, Wong Teo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Seng came out of the goal and Wong Teo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ryan Siang struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Samuel Seng didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stevenage United. After 42 played minutes Ipplepens got a freekick which was hit by Firdauz Nagasaki. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ryan Siang in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Samuel Seng saved Ipplepens from getting behind. Samuel Seng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sarb Lim in the 45th minute of play. In the 48th minute Zafran Politiek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jithu Lim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ryan Siang to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryan Siang in the 56th minute of play forced Ipplepens's goalkeeper Samuel Seng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sarb Lim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Samuel Seng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Samuel Seng managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Stevenage United's Ryan Siang fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 71 minutes into the match, Ipplepens's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Koh came free, but Samuel Seng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Khairil Liang left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ipplepens fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Samuel Seng stood somewhat misplaced when Ryan Siang came free in front of goal and shot 2-2 to the left of him in the 83 minute. Khairil Liang kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Samuel Koh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th minute, Afiz Tioe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
