The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Faris Sum hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. The supporters of Sheerness United booed when Slice of Life was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Muhammad Shyan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 9th minute, Sheerness United's Alif Tuan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind John Koh. John Koh yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Sheerness United's Amirul Swee got a free kick in the 12th minute. The supporters of Slice of Life booed when Sheerness United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alif Tuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. John Koh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fariz Wenyong, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amirul Swee who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of John Koh when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 22 played minutes Sheerness United got a freekick which was hit by Faris Sum. After having played for 28 minutes, Asiz Hong managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Slice of Life's supporters crossed their fingers, but Asiz Hong was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Asiz Hong had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alif Tuan in the 36th minute of play forced Slice of Life's goalkeeper John Koh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Slice of Life's Firdauz Chee got a free kick in the 37th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amirul Swee got free with John Koh in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 54th minute, Slice of Life's Asiz Hong dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. After some careless play in the Slice of Life defense, Amirul Swee kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of John Koh. The Slice of Life fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that John Koh should have stopped the shot. Fariz Wenyong scored 4-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of John Koh, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hafriz Namasivayam kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. A collision led to Slice of Life getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Wong Abisheganaden hit a great ball. Alif Tuan charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alif Tuan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 75th minute, Alif Tuan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, Slice of Life's goal looked a bit too open when Fariz Wenyong came free, but John Koh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Slice of Life booed when Sheerness United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clive Dyce didn't get a good kick on the ball. Firdauz Chee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without SK Yeo having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Fariz Wenyong made a precise shot to the right of John Koh. Slice of Life's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. After taking down the ball on Sheerness United's corner Amirul Swee fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and John Koh quite easily take care of the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, Sheerness United could leave the field as winners, despite Slice of Life having more of the ball for most of the match.
