Gara Seng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Farhan Choo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Farhan Choo in the 26th minute of play forced Great Leighs's goalkeeper Gara Seng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Great Leighs getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Gage Lee hit a great ball. Amirul Chong's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gara Seng read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Azam Au showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anil Chai, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Farhan Paine's late challenge caught a Great Leighs's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Farhan Paine helped the player get up and apologised. After 38 played minutes Botley City got a freekick which was hit by Farhan Paine. Azam Au made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Anil Chai sent off a good shot on target. After 47 played minutes Botley City got a freekick which was hit by Farhan Paine. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anil Chai was the one to do the kick off. Azam Au didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anil Chai went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 58 minutes into the game, Hafriz Abisheganaden was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Botley City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Great Leighs the free kick. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Botley City! The referee gave Great Leighs a penalty, 59 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sajeev Politiek, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Botley City's Azam Au. 3-1. Farhan Paine hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Azam Au showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicholas Liang in the 79th minute of the match. Anil Chai scored 4-1 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Azam Au, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 85 minutes of play, Great Leighs's Anil Chai made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Azam Au was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alan Abisheganaden kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anil Chai in the 91st minute of play forced Botley City's goalkeeper Azam Au to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Soon made in the 97th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Great Leighs's Sajeev Politiek. Anil Chai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Azam Au tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Great Leighs walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
