After 18 minutes of play, LiverBird Flyers FC's Edinho de Senna made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anil Politiek was left in no man's land by his defense there! Anil Politiek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edinho de Senna in the 21st minute of play. Edinho de Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Anil Politiek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Jester Monkeys's goal looked a bit too open when Edinho de Senna came free, but Anil Politiek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anil Politiek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edinho de Senna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute, Edinho de Senna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anil Politiek was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 31st minute, Edinho de Senna ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anil Politiek was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. If Edinho de Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to LiverBird Flyers FC getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Americo Ocaña hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 51st minute, one of LiverBird Flyers FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for LiverBird Flyers FC. In the 53rd minute there was a penalty for Jester Monkeys. Iskandar Siong stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alam Wah. 1-4. Anil Politiek came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by LiverBird Flyers FC's Asiz Leng. But to his dismay, Asiz Leng quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. Ong Chee kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Edinho de Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anil Politiek having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Edinho de Senna managed to get in a good position for a shot. LiverBird Flyers FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Edinho de Senna was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anil Politiek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 1-6 became the score in the 67th minute when Edinho de Senna elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 70 played minutes Jester Monkeys got a freekick which was hit by Zafran Chan. Edinho de Senna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anil Politiek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edinho de Senna in the 76th minute. Edinho de Sennas short, quick shot in the 77thth minute got Anil Politiek to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as LiverBird Flyers FC's Asiz Leng slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Anil Politiek. That made the score 1-7 after 85 minutes of play. When Bruno Pernambucano came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the LiverBird Flyers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Pernambucano couldn't finish the play. Ronn Dhanabalan hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute, Edinho de Senna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LiverBird Flyers FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-8. LiverBird Flyers FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
