Spectators: 9000 (Terracing: 6750, Seating: 2070, VIP seats: 180) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Stelian Iordache took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd match minute, Geylang River Otters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wei Xuan Yi-Sheng to maneuver through the defense. In the 5th minute, Stelian Iordache reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hidayat Shiong. The goal made the score 1-0. When Geylang River Otters's Stelian Iordache in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Abbay Wood United's goalie prevented a goal. Hidayat Shiong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stelian Iordache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the last second Hidayat Shiong throw himself and got hold of the ball when Stelian Iordache in the 14thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 17th minute Tan Dyce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lee Lee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Felix Sarangapani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Abbay Wood United's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Sarangapani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lee Lee breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Geylang River Otters's Lee Lee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Sarangapani in the 21st minute of play. Khairul Choo charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Khairul Choo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 23rd match minute, Abbay Wood United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Khairul Choo to maneuver through the defense. When Hamir Tee came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Geylang River Otters fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hamir Tee couldn't finish the play. 25 minutes into the game, Stelian Iordache recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hidayat Shiong. Stelian Iordache showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. A collision led to Abbay Wood United getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Alif Devan hit a great ball. Geylang River Otters's Lee Lee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Sarangapani in the 45th minute of play. Wei Xuan Yi-Sheng sent away a hard shot on goal in the 50th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felix Sarangapani to make the kick off. The supporters of Geylang River Otters booed when Abbay Wood United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Sarangapani didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Stelian Iordache put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Hidayat Shiong. After a defensive mix-up in Abbay Wood United's zone, Stelian Iordache stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hidayat Shiong came out of the goal and Stelian Iordache tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hidayat Shiong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stelian Iordache in the 71st minute of the match. Hidayat Shiong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stelian Iordache, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hidayat Shiong stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mark Phua's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Stelian Iordache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hidayat Shiong having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mark Phua in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hidayat Shiong saved Abbay Wood United from getting behind. In the 78th minute, Stelian Iordache left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Geylang River Otters fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-0. Mark Phua recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geylang River Otters's Alif Cho quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Azli Pieng, made in the 88th minute of the game. Alif Cho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Hidayat Shiong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stelian Iordache in the 92nd minute of play forced Abbay Wood United's goalkeeper Hidayat Shiong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Stelian Iordache managed to get in a good position for a shot. Geylang River Otters's supporters rose to their feet, but Stelian Iordache was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 99th minute the ball was on its way in behind Geylang River Otters's goalkeeper Lee Lee, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Geylang River Otters fully deserved thier win.
