An unexpectedly hard shot by Noh Ning in the 6th minute of play forced Abbay Wood United's goalkeeper Hidayat Shiong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eltham's Jonathan Tian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tan Dyce in the 8th minute of play. Lamar Butcher charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lamar Butcher the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Lamar Butcher hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Alif Devan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Noh Ning might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hidayat Shiong. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Noh Ning ran back to his position shaking his head. Khairul Choo was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 23rd minute. Abbay Wood United's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Jonathan Tian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Khairul Choo, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Khairil Hui could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Jonathan Tian made a huge save. In the 25th minute, Lamar Butcher ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hidayat Shiong was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Noh Ning sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Khairil Hui had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Noh Ning came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Eltham fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Noh Ning couldn't finish the play. After 37 minutes, Noh Ning made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Abbay Wood United's Hidayat Shiong tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 46 minutes, Clive Lee managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eltham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clive Lee was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hidayat Shiong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lamar Butcher in the 49th minute of the match. After the first half Eltham were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Felix Sarangapani stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eltham's Jonathan Tian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alif Devan in the 56th minute of play. Noh Ning received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Hidayat Shiong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ong Keng kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. When Danial Seng fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eltham's protests and gave Danial Seng a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes Eltham got a freekick which was hit by Danial Seng. In the 70th minute, Felix Sarangapani ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Tian was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Wong Lum did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-3 to the left of a surprised Hidayat Shiong 73 minutes into the match. Lamar Butcher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Hidayat Shiong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute Tan Dyce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Tian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ong Keng took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Tian. Eltham's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 90th minute, Clive Lee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Felix Sarangapani notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Eltham's Jonathan Tian. Jonathan Tian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Eltham getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Danial Seng hit a great ball. In the 97th minute Khairul Choo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Tian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eltham played a much better game than Abbay Wood United and deserved their victory. The Abbay Wood United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
