The audience was convinced that Khairil Lim's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arif Lim was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Shafiq Cheng succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 25th playminute. Faizal Tuan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arif Lim having to interfere. Arif Lim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Khairil Lim in the 31st minute of the match. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Spang FC. 35 minutes into the match, Spang FC's goalkeeper Arif Lim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Khairil Lim. Arif Lim made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Shafiq Cheng sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faizal Tuan in the 38th minute of play forced Spang FC's goalkeeper Arif Lim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arif Lim was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Khairil Lim capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Khairil Lim really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Mirfield United fc's Faizal Tuan got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Khairil Lim got free with Arif Lim in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 46 minutes into the match, Spang FC's goalkeeper Arif Lim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shafiq Cheng. In the 47th minute, Zafran Low hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mohammad Choo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arif Lim. Spang FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Khairil Lim was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Hamir Pillai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Khairil Lim scored 3-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arif Lim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arif Lim showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Khairil Lim in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arif Lim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mirfield United fc's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
