Spectators: 7975 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1815, VIP seats: 160) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Stelian Iordache made the kick off which started today's match. In the 8th minute of the match Lamar Yeo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lee Lee showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Geylang River Otters fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when Geylang River Otters's Steven Ramachandran looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 13 minutes of play, Geylang River Otters's Wei Xuan Yi-Sheng made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Shukrie Kool was left in no man's land by his defense there! Lee Lee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zak Rajah, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute, Stelian Iordache left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Geylang River Otters fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Lee Lee was a little too slow when Tan Tee got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 35th minute. The score was now 1-3. After the first half Geylang River Otters were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tan Tee made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Steven Ramachandran took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Shukrie Kool to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stelian Iordache in the 60th minute of play forced Dunton Green's goalkeeper Shukrie Kool to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shukrie Kool made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wei Xuan Yi-Sheng in the 61st minute of play. 65 minutes into the game, Steven Ramachandran lined in a short shot 1-7 behind a frustrated Shukrie Kool. 70 minutes into the match, Geylang River Otters's goal looked a bit too open when Tan Tee came free, but Lee Lee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Zak Rajah left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dunton Green fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-7. After 76 minutes, Nicholas Henderson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dunton Green and the Geylang River Otters players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nicholas Henderson hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Shukrie Kool made an important save on a dangerous shot by Steven Ramachandran in the 82nd minute. A collision led to Dunton Green getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Wei Xuan Phua hit a great ball. Nicholas Henderson kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The throw-in from Martin Lane in the 92nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Dunton Green's Amirul Chong. Steven Ramachandran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Shukrie Kool tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Geylang River Otters left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Dunton Green.
