Arif Lim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 11 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Adam Miazga sped through Spang FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arif Lim. Adam Miazga hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute of the match Sean Sim shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diego Alves showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Alfred Hitchcock had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arif Lim. Spang FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfred Hitchcock was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After 24 played minutes Brighton got a freekick which was hit by Albert Lim. Arif Lim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Hitchcock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the game, Brighton's Albert Lim nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arif Lim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Arif Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Miazga in the 37th minute of play. Arif Lim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Hitchcock in the 39th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Adam Miazga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arif Lim. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adam Miazga was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfred Hitchcock got free with Arif Lim in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 0-7 became the score in the 53rd minute when Adam Miazga elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Albert Lim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arif Lim having to make a save. 62 minutes into the match, Adam Miazga notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Spang FC's Arif Lim. Arif Lim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Albert Lim didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-9 via right post in the game's 65th minute. Brighton's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! The supporters of Brighton booed when Spang FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sean Sim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arif Lim was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Adam Miazga showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-13 in the 85 minute of play. Sean Sim kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. A hard shot by Rudy Lee from long distance, 89 minutes into the match, got Arif Lim's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albert Lim in the 90th minute of play forced Spang FC's goalkeeper Arif Lim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Spang FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 91st minute, when Alfred Hitchcock scored to the left of an out of position Arif Lim, making the score, 0-14. In the 94th play minute Alfred Hitchcock came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Arif Lim. 0-15. Brighton's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
