Sarb Teo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. When Alfred Hitchcock came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Brighton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfred Hitchcock couldn't finish the play. Sarb Teo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Hitchcock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Brighton fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Brighton's Adam Miazga looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Crewe United's goalkeeper Sarb Teo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 27 minutes into the game, Brighton's Adam Miazga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sarb Teo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. After a defensive mix-up in Crewe United's zone, Adam Miazga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sarb Teo came out of the goal and Adam Miazga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes into the match, Crewe United's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Miazga came free, but Sarb Teo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sarb Teo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adam Miazga's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. After 41st play minutes Alfred Hitchcock shot 0-6, a short shot which went by Sarb Teo and just under the crossbar into goal. Sarb Teo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfred Hitchcock in the 44th minute of the match. Sarb Teo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adam Miazga, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Afiz Ching made a kick off. Adam Miazga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Sarb Teo made a huge save. Alfred Hitchcock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Sarb Teo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 70 minutes, Adam Miazga made it 0-9 with a short kick to the right side. Crewe United's Sarb Teo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Crewe United's zone, Adam Miazga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sarb Teo came out of the goal and Adam Miazga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Brighton booed when Crewe United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afiz Ching didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adam Miazga in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sarb Teo saved Crewe United from getting behind. Sarb Teo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adam Miazga's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. The audience was convinced that Adam Miazga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sarb Teo was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Brighton's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
