Faizal Tuan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hidayat Shiong having to interfere. With 10 minutes on the clock, Azli Pieng commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The crowd rose to their feet as Mirfield United fc's Khairil Lim slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hidayat Shiong. That made the score 1-0 after 15 minutes of play. In the 19th match minute, Mirfield United fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jithu Henderson to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute Abbay Wood United were awarded a corner. Shahron Choy went to the cornerflag to take it. Jonathan Hong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Khairil Hui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Faizal Tuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Khairil Lim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Hidayat Shiong made a huge save. 37 minutes into the game, Khairul Choo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Abbay Wood United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mirfield United fc the free kick. After 37 played minutes Abbay Wood United got a freekick which was hit by Khairul Choo. If Khairil Lim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the match, Khairil Lim dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Hidayat Shiong, 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Khairil Lim was the one to do the kick off. Abbay Wood United's supporters rose to their feet, but Shahron Choy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Hong breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Shafiq Cheng fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hidayat Shiong having to interfere. When Mirfield United fc's Khairil Lim in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Abbay Wood United's goalie prevented a goal. If Khairil Lim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 74 minutes into the game, Mirfield United fc's Khairil Lim nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hidayat Shiong made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. In the 78thth minute of the game Khairil Lim who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Abbay Wood United's Hidayat Shiong was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Khairil Lim put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Hidayat Shiong. After 83 played minutes Mirfield United fc got a freekick which was hit by Sajeev Wah. Khairil Hui kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After having played for 90 minutes, Faizal Tuan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mirfield United fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Faizal Tuan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
