The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steven Ramachandran in the 10th minute of play forced Spang FC's goalkeeper Arif Lim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Geylang River Otters getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Wei Xuan Yi-Sheng hit a great ball. In the 17th minute Wei Xuan Yi-Sheng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arif Lim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Spang FC's Arif Lim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Phua in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th match minute, Spang FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Khai Nair to maneuver through the defense. 25 minutes into the match, Spang FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mark Phua came free, but Arif Lim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Stelian Iordache ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arif Lim was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Lee Lee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Sim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mark Ee hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Spang FC's Arif Lim got control of the ball when Steven Ramachandran tried to sneak it across the goal line. Spang FC's Arif Lim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Spang FC from getting a goal against them. 36 minutes into the match, Spang FC's goalkeeper Arif Lim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steven Ramachandran. 37 minutes into the match, Wei Xuan Yi-Sheng notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Spang FC's Arif Lim. Arif Lim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 40th minute Stelian Iordache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arif Lim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arif Lim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mark Phua in the 43rd minute of the match. Steven Ramachandran succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-0 in the 45th playminute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

Alexander Sim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lee Lee having to make a save. Arif Lim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alif Cho went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Arif Lim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wei Xuan Yi-Sheng, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. A collision led to Spang FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Hamir Pillai hit a great ball. In the 66th minute, Steven Ramachandran made a precise shot to the right of Arif Lim. Spang FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. After 69 minutes of play, Geylang River Otters's Steven Ramachandran made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arif Lim was left in no man's land by his defense there! Arif Lim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steven Ramachandran in the 72nd minute of the match. Alexander Sim's late challenge caught a Geylang River Otters's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Sim helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Geylang River Otters booed when Spang FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexander Sim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arif Lim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stelian Iordache in the 77th minute of the match. Arif Lim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 尹骋笑 in the 79th minute of play. Arif Lim came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Geylang River Otters's Stelian Iordache. But to his dismay, Stelian Iordache quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. 84 minutes into the match, Wei Xuan Yi-Sheng notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Spang FC's Arif Lim. Arif Lim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hamir Pillai hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. When Geylang River Otters's Stelian Iordache in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Spang FC's goalie prevented a goal. Arif Lim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Steven Ramachandran went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 10-0 was the resulting score.
