Spectators: 8582 (Terracing: 6400, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 182) Harolld Hill's Asiz Nair started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Merlin Tee made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Shafiq Hoe sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Asiz Nair's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Merlin Tee was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. A collision led to Yaptoon getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Ron Lee hit a great ball. Merlin Tee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asiz Nair, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sharizan Seah kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Harolld Hill's Haziq Yeo tried to score from far away in the 13th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Yaptoon's Merlin Tee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Asiz Nair in the 16th minute of play. The supporters of Harolld Hill booed when Yaptoon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hidayat Tuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Shafiq Hoe could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Merlin Tee however easily saved by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Asiz Nair managed to get in a good position for a shot. Harolld Hill's supporters rose to their feet, but Asiz Nair was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Merlin Tee breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Harolld Hill's Haziq Yeo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Yaptoon. If Asiz Nair had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Merlin Tee took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Asiz Nair, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 49th minute the ball was on its way in behind Yaptoon's goalkeeper Merlin Tee, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ron Lee to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes of play, Yaptoon's Amirul Chien-Kwan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joel Lee was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 59 played minutes Harolld Hill got a freekick which was hit by Faiz Ramachandran. Yaptoon's Amirul Chien-Kwan got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 67th minute Rifki Rajah shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Merlin Tee saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 69 played minutes Yaptoon got a freekick which was hit by Mohammad Chien-Kwan. Shafiq Hoe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ron Lee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Amirul Chien-Kwan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Lee having to interfere. Ron Lee recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joel Lee made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amirul Chien-Kwan in the 83rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Yaptoon's zone, Asiz Nair stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Merlin Tee came out of the goal and Asiz Nair tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute, Shafiq Hoe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Harolld Hill fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2.
