Spectators: 8510 (Terracing: 6375, Seating: 1955, VIP seats: 180)
Hidayat Lee made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 4th match minute, Wivenhoen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gage Braddell to maneuver through the defense. 7 minutes into the game, Felix Ning was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Singapore's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wivenhoen the free kick. In the 10th minute, Benoit De Middeleer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Singapore fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Benoit De Middeleer might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicholas Tee. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benoit De Middeleer ran back to his position shaking his head. If Steven Lum had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the match, Wivenhoen's goal looked a bit too open when Benoit De Middeleer came free, but Nicholas Tee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Singapore fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Singapore's Benoit De Middeleer looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Benoit De Middeleer hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After 27 minutes, Benoit De Middeleer made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Wivenhoen's Nicholas Tee tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 30 minutes into the match, Wivenhoen's goal looked a bit too open when Jithu Hsin came free, but Nicholas Tee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Muhammad Namasivayam thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Nicholas Tee, a very annoying self made goal in the 31st minute which led to 0-4. Benoit De Middeleer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicholas Tee having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Antoni Gotfryd made a precise shot to the right of Nicholas Tee. Wivenhoen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. In the 45th minute, Benoit De Middeleer made a precise shot to the right of Nicholas Tee. Wivenhoen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benoit De Middeleer to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 51 minutes, Benoit De Middeleer took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Nicholas Tee to make any attempt to save it. When Benoit De Middeleer came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Singapore fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benoit De Middeleer couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hidayat Lee during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Singapore booed when Wivenhoen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hidayat Lee didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benoit De Middeleer in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicholas Tee prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpected shot in the 67th minute by Antoni Gotfryd got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Hidayat Lee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Dries Ramps tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dries Ramps made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hidayat Lee in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Singapore's Bineesh Tuan got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 89th match minute, Wivenhoen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prime Boon to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Singapore could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Wivenhoen throughout the match.
