Spectators: 10000 (Terracing: 7500, Seating: 2300, VIP seats: 200) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mohammad Pieng took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute Diego Belém shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Montrelle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute, Diego Belém ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonas Montrelle was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Albirex Niigata FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Anacleto Guillen scored to the left of an out of position 俞冰帆, making the score, 1-1. Jonas Montrelle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Belém, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Howden United's Mohammad Pieng got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anacleto Guillen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but 俞冰帆 read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of Albirex Niigata FC booed when Howden United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniz Soon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Daniz Soon made in the 26th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Prime Lum. Jonas Montrelle came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Albirex Niigata FC's Alexander Tan. But to his dismay, Alexander Tan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 32 minutes into the game, Hardo Kaarna threw the ball into play from the sideline. Howden United's Hamir Chian quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 33rd minute, Mohammad Pieng left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Howden United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After a rather tough play, Howden United's Prime Lum got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 43rd minute Diego Belém shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonas Montrelle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diego Belém stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Howden United's Anacleto Guillen in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an extended leg and a bit of luck 俞冰帆 prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Diego Belém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Howden United's Faris Shiong managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Chus Egas in the 65 minute of the game. Albirex Niigata FC's Mujahid Vijiaratnam got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diego Belém's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonas Montrelle read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Jonas Montrelle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chus Egas in the 71st minute of play. Diego Belém could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Jonas Montrelle made a huge save. After 82 minutes, Sharizan Chee mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Albirex Niigata FC and the Howden United players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Albirex Niigata FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Sharizan Chee hit a great ball. 84 minutes into the match, Albirex Niigata FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mohammad Pieng came free, but 俞冰帆 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniz Soon got a throw-in 90 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Prime Lum. Diego Belém recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Sharizan Chee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Howden United succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Albirex Niigata FC had controlled the match.
