Spectators: 10827 (Terracing: 8121, Seating: 2490, VIP seats: 216) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Azam Chew took the kick off in the first half of the match. Mark Chian received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ali Artuner came out and tried to block the shot, but Mark Chian slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Manchester United's goalkeeper Ali Artuner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mark Chian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ali Artuner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. After 11 minutes of play, Manchester United's Azam Chew made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexander Sum was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alexander Sum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Azam Chew in the 14th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, NFH Family United's Mark Chian sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ali Artuner narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ali Artuner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ang Chew, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alexander Sum stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Azam Chew's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. In the 25th minute, Danish Hoe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alexander Sum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniz Keng in the 29th minute of play. In the 31st minute of the match Manchester United got a corner. NFH Family United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniz Keng ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Danish Ning managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Ang Chew hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Azam Chew in the 35th minute of play forced NFH Family United's goalkeeper Alexander Sum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mark Chian had several of the Manchester United's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 38 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Ali Artuner as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of NFH Family United booed when Manchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zak Koh didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute Bryan Ramachandran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Sum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the game, Daniz Keng cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Alexander Sum was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Mark Chian made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Daniz Keng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexander Sum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in NFH Family United's zone, Daniz Keng stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexander Sum came out of the goal and Daniz Keng tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 58th minute Mark Chian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Artuner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute of the match NFH Family United got a corner. Manchester United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mark Chian ran over to the corner to take the kick. Alexander Sum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bryan Ramachandran, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Mark Chian came free, but Ali Artuner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Daniz Keng's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alexander Sum was relentless in the 73rd minute of the game. After some careless play in the Manchester United defense, Mark Chian kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ali Artuner. The Manchester United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ali Artuner should have stopped the shot. Manchester United's Ali Artuner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ang Chew in the 78th minute of play. After 79 minutes Manchester United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mark Chian who took care of the corner kick. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester United's zone, Mark Chian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ali Artuner came out of the goal and Mark Chian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 84th match minute, NFH Family United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wong Sophie to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniz Keng got free with Alexander Sum in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute, Bryan Ramachandran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ali Artuner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mark Chian, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. NFH Family United's Ang Chew got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
