Spectators: 8216 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 216) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sidnei Maciel took the kick off in the first half of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Howden United's goal looked a bit too open when Sidnei Maciel came free, but Jonas Montrelle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Tampines Rovers Football's goal looked a bit too open when Anacleto Guillen came free, but Hidayat Rajah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonas Montrelle made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidnei Maciel in the 13th minute of play. If Sidnei Maciel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 21st minute, Sidnei Maciel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tampines Rovers Football fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Hidayat Rajah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anacleto Guillen, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Eduardo Furst lost his temper 32 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 40 minutes, Amirul Chuan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Howden United and the Tampines Rovers Football players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 42nd minute of the match Tampines Rovers Football got a corner. Howden United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Placido Gines ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Tampines Rovers Football's corner Placido Gines fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jonas Montrelle quite easily take care of the ball. In the 46th minute, Horaţiu Diaconescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mohammad Pieng to make the kick off. Howden United's Jonas Montrelle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidnei Maciel in the 51st minute of play. In the 58th minute Prime Lum shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hidayat Rajah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hidayat Rajah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anacleto Guillen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hidayat Rajah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prime Lum in the 64th minute of play. 64 minutes in the game, Prime Lum fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Hidayat Rajah having to interfere. With a little luck, Tampines Rovers Football's Hidayat Rajah got control of the ball when Prime Lum tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tampines Rovers Football's Hidayat Rajah proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Tampines Rovers Football from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Tampines Rovers Football's zone, Mohammad Pieng stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hidayat Rajah came out of the goal and Mohammad Pieng tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mohammad Pieng received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Hidayat Rajah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 91st minute, Mohammad Pieng made a precise shot to the right of Hidayat Rajah. Tampines Rovers Football's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. Jonas Montrelle didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alejandro Selatse went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score.
