The crowd rose to their feet as Cláudio Botelho kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hidayat Rajah. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. Hidayat Rajah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio Botelho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wen Ke Yan succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 7th playminute. 10 minutes in the game Mario Tercero did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Claudinei Damião. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cláudio Botelho in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hidayat Rajah saved Tampines Rovers Football from getting behind. In the 15th minute Wen Ke Yan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hidayat Rajah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 17th minute of the game Radomir Kosowski made a throw-in which Claudinei Damião played forward. If Wen Ke Yan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The throw-in from Radomir Kosowski in the 20th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Tampines Rovers Football's Asiz Rajah. Tampines Rovers Football's Hidayat Rajah played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radomir Kosowski in the 23rd minute of play. Sidnei Maciel charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sidnei Maciel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 24 played minutes Tampines Rovers Football got a freekick which was hit by Sidnei Maciel. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cláudio Botelho in the 25th minute of play forced Tampines Rovers Football's goalkeeper Hidayat Rajah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wen Ke Yan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hidayat Rajah came out and tried to block the shot, but Wen Ke Yan slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 26th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wen Ke Yan got free with Hidayat Rajah in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 33 minutes into the match, Tampines Rovers Football's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Siong came free, but Hidayat Rajah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute Cláudio Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hidayat Rajah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Placido Gines charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Placido Gines the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 36th minute, Placido Gines hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cláudio Botelho in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hidayat Rajah prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hidayat Rajah didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wen Ke Yan went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. 43 minutes into the match, Tampines Rovers Football's goalkeeper Hidayat Rajah had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonathan Siong. A sloppy throw-in by Amir Au in the 45th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Stars's Cláudio Botelho. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wen Ke Yan got free with Hidayat Rajah in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 5-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sidnei Maciel made the kick off in the second half. Hidayat Rajah came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Stars's Wen Ke Yan. But to his dismay, Wen Ke Yan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. In the 54th minute, Cláudio Botelho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hidayat Rajah was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Hidayat Rajah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinei Damião, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After some careless play in the Tampines Rovers Football defense, Cláudio Botelho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hidayat Rajah. The Tampines Rovers Football fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hidayat Rajah should have stopped the shot. 63 minutes into the match, Tampines Rovers Football's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Siong came free, but Hidayat Rajah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hidayat Rajah was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Muhammad Chan was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Alejandro Selatse capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alejandro Selatse really showed his touch with that goal: 11-1. Hidayat Rajah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wen Ke Yan in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute Claudinei Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hidayat Rajah saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 91 played minutes Tampines Rovers Football got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Furst. Hidayat Rajah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cláudio Botelho, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Hidayat Rajah stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cláudio Botelho's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. Hidayat Rajah showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rudy Chandran in the 95th minute of the match.
