The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute Harry Macandog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jomari Quimson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jomari Quimson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Macandog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the game, Lancing's Harry Macandog nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jomari Quimson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Jim Molinos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jim Molinos struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Jomari Quimson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lancing. Romford United's Jomari Quimson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mose Kabayao in the 29th minute of play. Harry Macandog sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Irvine Gabuat's late challenge caught a Romford United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Irvine Gabuat helped the player get up and apologised. Irvine Gabuat kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. If Jim Molinos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Harry Macandog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The wind increased when Jim Molinos made the kick off in the second half. Anastasio Quimot blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jomari Quimson having to make a save. A collision led to Lancing getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Mose Kabayao hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Romford United's zone, Jim Molinos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jomari Quimson came out of the goal and Jim Molinos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Lancing's Jim Molinos got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 67th minute, Anastasio Quimot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Clyde Dalog came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Romford United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clyde Dalog couldn't finish the play. Romford United's Salbatore Binayas got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Sanoy Rabuco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clyde Dalog in the 95th minute of the match. 98 minutes into the match, Lancing's goal looked a bit too open when Clyde Dalog came free, but Sanoy Rabuco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
