Gainsborough's Hubert Jocson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henriqua Magdadarao in the 10th minute of play. Wiley Guiao was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and Hubert Garcia capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Hubert Garcia really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 17 minutes, Cecil Cruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manor Park and the Gainsborough players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Manor Park getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Cecil Cruz hit a great ball. In the 21stth minute of the game Jack Macadangdang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gainsborough's Hubert Jocson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Manor Park's Jack Macadangdang got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hubert Jocson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Macadangdang, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. A collision led to Manor Park getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Henriqua Magdadarao hit a great ball. Pacifico Sycip struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Wiley Guiao didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gainsborough. 34 minutes into the match, Manor Park's goal looked a bit too open when Hubert Garcia came free, but Wiley Guiao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Henriqua Magdadarao managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manor Park's supporters rose to their feet, but Henriqua Magdadarao was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hubert Jocson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Romcim Liclican had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hubert Jocson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henriqua Magdadarao in the 45th minute of play.

Many of Manor Park's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Manor Park may have spent more time on the ball, but Gainsborough were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
