Spectators: 6843 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1843, VIP seats: 0) Moses Napalan made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Philippine Azkals's goalkeeper Tonying Mangkay, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Boni Panaguinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tito Bengco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute, Glenn Valenzuela got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Cheddar getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Lonnie Kabayao hit a great ball. In the 27th minute Moses Napalan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tonying Mangkay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Philippine Azkals's zone, Moses Napalan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tonying Mangkay came out of the goal and Moses Napalan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Moses Napalan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tonying Mangkay having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Philippine Azkals's Virgilio Hartmann got a free kick in the 45th minute. Tonying Mangkay acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 47th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Leonardo Yamguas. Boni Panaguinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tito Bengco in the 48th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tito Bengco to strike the kick off in the second half. Tonying Mangkay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moses Napalan in the 54th minute of play. Tonying Mangkay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Harolde Pacquing in the 55th minute of the match. Boni Panaguinto made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Glenn Valenzuela sent off a good shot on target. Tonying Mangkay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Harolde Pacquing, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. When Moses Napalan came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Cheddar fans jumped to their feet. A collision led to Cheddar getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Lonnie Kabayao hit a great ball. Cristofor Latap sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Philippine Azkals succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Cheddar had controlled the match.
