After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Christian Cacalda managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coleford's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Cacalda was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tonying Mangkay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Freddy Soliman kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Jemson Lawsin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tito Bengco, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Tonying Mangkay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christian Cacalda's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. After 21 played minutes Philippine Azkals got a freekick which was hit by Cornelius Francisco. Elijah Tongol hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. From a short distance, Coleford's Christian Cacalda, in the 29th minute, tried to place the ball behind Tonying Mangkay, but the ball hit the right post on the wrong side and went out. When Christian Cacalda came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Coleford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Cacalda couldn't finish the play. Christian Cacalda in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tonying Mangkay, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Tonying Mangkay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Cacalda in the 40th minute of play. Tonying Mangkay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Cacalda in the 43rd minute of the match. After having played for 47 minutes, Dolphy Gosoc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coleford's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dolphy Gosoc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Christian Cacalda was the one to do the kick off. Christian Cacalda might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tonying Mangkay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christian Cacalda ran back to his position shaking his head. When Glenn Valenzuela came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Philippine Azkals fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Glenn Valenzuela couldn't finish the play. Philippine Azkals's Tonying Mangkay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Cacalda in the 57th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Elijah Tongol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tonying Mangkay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Cacalda in the 62nd minute of play. In the 69th minute of the match Kaedgar Gacungan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tonying Mangkay skillfully saved the ball. 70 minutes into the game, Coleford's Christian Cacalda nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tonying Mangkay made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Dolphy Gosoc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Tonying Mangkay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75thth minute of the game Christian Cacalda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Philippine Azkals's Tonying Mangkay was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Philippine Azkals getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Tito Bengco hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Philippine Azkals's zone, Casimiro Cabanting stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tonying Mangkay came out of the goal and Casimiro Cabanting tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Philippine Azkals's Tonying Mangkay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Cacalda in the 84th minute of play. Casimiro Cabanting struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Tonying Mangkay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coleford. Coleford's Jemson Lawsin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tito Bengco in the 87th minute of play. When Coleford's Christian Cacalda in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Philippine Azkals's goalie prevented a goal. Freddy Soliman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tonying Mangkay having to interfere. Coleford's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
