An unexpectedly hard shot by Moses Napalan in the 21st minute of play forced Stallion Laguna FC's goalkeeper Lawrence Sablon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Paulin couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Cheddar getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Lonnie Kabayao hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Filip Šujanský stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Filipo Puyol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moses Napalan was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 95th minute. Cheddar's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The Cheddar players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
