Futbulilitz's Raminos Gacungan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Callangan in the 25th minute of play. 30 minutes into the game, Glenn Famador cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Raminos Gacungan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Warren Cagauan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tonying Yamguas having to interfere. After 35 played minutes, Futbulilitz's Xerex Yongque shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tonying Yamguas came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Futbulilitz reached it. Glenn Famador sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Warren Cagauan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
