With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renren Llaban in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Raminos Gacungan saved Futbulilitz from getting behind. Jose Quirimit struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Raminos Gacungan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cebu Hammers FC. In the 15th minute Renren Llaban shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raminos Gacungan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 20 minutes, Jose Quirimit managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cebu Hammers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jose Quirimit was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cebu Hammers FC's Ali Maglacas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Cebu Hammers FC from getting a goal against them. If Renren Llaban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Futbulilitz's zone, Renren Llaban stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raminos Gacungan came out of the goal and Renren Llaban tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bayan Cacalda charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bayan Cacalda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Futbulilitz's Bayan Cacalda got a free kick in the 34th minute. Xerex Paredes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 34th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, Futbulilitz's goal looked a bit too open when Renren Llaban came free, but Raminos Gacungan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Warren Cagauan to make the kick off. If Renren Llaban had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Futbulilitz booed when Cebu Hammers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jose Quirimit didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Jose Quirimit managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cebu Hammers FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jose Quirimit was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raminos Gacungan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 72ndth minute of the game Jose Quirimit who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Futbulilitz's Raminos Gacungan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kobe Ralutin during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the game's 75th minute Futbulilitz's Salvatore Sopsop took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Ali Maglacas and thus the score was 1-1. In the 80th minute, Simon Ortega ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ali Maglacas was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 83rdth minute of the game Simon Ortega who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cebu Hammers FC's Ali Maglacas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Simon Ortega notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Cebu Hammers FC's Ali Maglacas. Ali Maglacas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 89th minute, Cebu Hammers FC's Jose Quirimit ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Raminos Gacungan. Raminos Gacungan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-2. Simon Ortega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Many of Cebu Hammers FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Cebu Hammers FC may have spent more time on the ball, but Futbulilitz were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
