The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benjamin Gabuat during the 5th minute. Cornelio Domekyas's late challenge caught a Cleveleys City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cornelio Domekyas helped the player get up and apologised. Padi Tongson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alonzo Daranciang's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. 32 minutes into the game, Albert Burgess was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Taytay FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cleveleys City the free kick. Cleveleys City's Nataniel Pacubas got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 38 minutes into the game, one of Taytay FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Padi Tongson, was totally fooled by Cleveleys City's Jemson Macatumpag, who 40 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pilipinas Masibay to strike the kick off in the second half. Padi Tongson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alonzo Daranciang in the 51st minute of play. Nataniel Pacubas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Padi Tongson having to interfere. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Taytay FC's goalkeeper Padi Tongson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alonzo Daranciang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cleveleys City's defense didn't have a chance, in the 74th minute, when Pilipinas Masibay scored to the left of an out of position Norberto Cavite, making the score, 2-1. In the 80th match minute, Taytay FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bienvinido Caraan to maneuver through the defense. When Chester Unabia came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Taytay FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chester Unabia couldn't finish the play. Alonzo Daranciang took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Padi Tongson. Padi Tongson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Cleveleys City's Alonzo Daranciang got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Taytay FC's Cornelio Domekyas got his second yellow card of the match in the 92nd minute. The referee ordered Cornelio Domekyas off the ground. The supporters of Cleveleys City booed when Taytay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornelio Domekyas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jemson Macatumpag was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 93rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonzo Daranciang in the 96th minute of play forced Taytay FC's goalkeeper Padi Tongson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 97th minute Alonzo Daranciang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Padi Tongson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
