Spectators: 6852 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1842, VIP seats: 10) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jose Quirimit started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cornelio Domekyas during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Taytay FC's goalkeeper Padi Tongson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Salvadore Dalog kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Padi Tongson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Quirimit in the 16th minute of play. Renren Llaban's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Padi Tongson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Ali Maglacas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chester Unabia in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute of the match Mark Macadangdang sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Padi Tongson skillfully saved the ball. 25 minutes had been played when some careless play by Taytay FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Xerex Paredes was slow to take the kick. During this time Cebu Hammers FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Cebu Hammers FC's Xerex Paredes to fire away a dangerous shot which Padi Tongson despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Bienvinido Caraan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 28th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Renren Llaban had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Padi Tongson. Taytay FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Renren Llaban was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 38th minute, Jose Quirimit made a precise shot to the right of Padi Tongson. Taytay FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Renren Llaban recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Padi Tongson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Quirimit in the 44th minute of the match. Renren Llaban scored 0-3 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Padi Tongson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pilipinas Masibay to strike the kick off in the second half. Kobe Ralutin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Padi Tongson made a huge save. Padi Tongson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jose Quirimit, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Jose Quirimit fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Padi Tongson having to interfere. The supporters of Cebu Hammers FC booed when Taytay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Burgess didn't get a good kick on the ball. Padi Tongson was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Xerex Paredes. Renren Llaban fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Padi Tongson having to interfere. When the match clock showed 67 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Jose Quirimit sped through Taytay FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Padi Tongson. After 73 minutes, Kobe Ralutin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cebu Hammers FC and the Taytay FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bienvinido Caraan, 74 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 79thth minute of the game Jose Quirimit who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Taytay FC's Padi Tongson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Taytay FC's Padi Tongson got control of the ball when Renren Llaban tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 83rd play minutes Jose Quirimit shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Padi Tongson and just under the crossbar into goal. 88 minutes into the match, Taytay FC's goalkeeper Padi Tongson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Renren Llaban. Renren Llaban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Padi Tongson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Padi Tongson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Quirimit in the 91st minute of the match. Renren Llaban in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Padi Tongson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Taytay FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cebu Hammers FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
