Pilipinas Masibay started the match with the kick off. In the 11th minute Parapusle Araneta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Padi Tongson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 13 minutes, Datu Tangkiang mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rizal Striker FC and the Taytay FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Datu Tangkiang kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Misagh Balata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Padi Tongson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romel Cabael in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Padi Tongson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 33rd minute, Pearl Caballero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Taytay FC's zone, Romel Cabael stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Padi Tongson came out of the goal and Romel Cabael tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 41 minutes, Romel Cabael managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rizal Striker FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romel Cabael was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Misagh Balata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Romel Cabael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Romel Cabael to strike the kick off in the second half. Renren Suntay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chester Unabia, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. In the 61st minute Romel Cabael shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Padi Tongson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, Taytay FC's goal looked a bit too open when Romel Cabael came free, but Padi Tongson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Misagh Balata fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rizal Striker FC's protests and gave Misagh Balata a yellow card for diving instead. Misagh Balata kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Rizal Striker FC made a substitution. Chris Lagbas replaced Pearl Caballero. After 72 played minutes Rizal Striker FC got a freekick which was hit by Misagh Balata. Renren Suntay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornelio Domekyas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Taytay FC's Padi Tongson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romel Cabael in the 81st minute of play. The supporters of Rizal Striker FC booed when Taytay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmett Santiago didn't get a good kick on the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Rizal Striker FC's Romel Cabael sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Padi Tongson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Romel Cabael's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Padi Tongson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Padi Tongson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Romel Cabael went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Padi Tongson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romel Cabael, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Taytay FC's Padi Tongson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romel Cabael in the 94th minute of play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There was no doubt that Rizal Striker FC were the better team. Rizal Striker FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
