George Querimit recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Emmett Arong's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rogelio Mabaquiao read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Malmesbury City's Rogelio Mabaquiao proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Malmesbury City from getting a goal against them. George Querimit hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 21st minute Aga Tecson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Randy Limjap saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nailsea's Randy Limjap played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Querimit in the 22nd minute of play. In the 24th minute, Aga Tecson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Percy Pansoy sped through Malmesbury City's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rogelio Mabaquiao. Malmesbury City's Aga Tecson got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Victor Sabile kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Nailsea's Randy Limjap played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aga Tecson in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th match minute, Malmesbury City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amos Delacruz to maneuver through the defense. Aga Tecson scored 1-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Randy Limjap, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 42nd minute, Malmesbury City's Marco Lindawan seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Marco Lindawan the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Malmesbury City protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Marco Lindawan had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of Malmesbury City:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nailsea:s goal. The goalkeeper, Rogelio Mabaquiao, was totally fooled by Nailsea's Arthur Telebanco, who 44 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aga Tecson to strike the kick off in the second half. Nailsea's Randy Limjap proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Nailsea from getting a goal against them. Rogelio Mabaquiao didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nailsea. A hard shot 69 in the game by Aga Tecson from a close distance when the talented Randy Limjap managed to make a qualified save. Nailsea's players were relieved. Aga Tecson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Marjo Manipula managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malmesbury City's supporters rose to their feet, but Marjo Manipula was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Randy Limjap breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aga Tecson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Randy Limjap having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Nailsea's goalkeeper Randy Limjap had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aga Tecson. Randy Limjap didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jomari Gonong went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Randy Limjap made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aga Tecson in the 90th minute. After some careless play in the Nailsea defense, Aga Tecson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Randy Limjap. The Nailsea fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Randy Limjap should have stopped the shot. Malmesbury City's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
